“We play to be remembered”: Vexa on Game Changers, pressure and legacy

A conversation with Nightfall’s captain (a fictional player) about the road to Champions.

Vexa — captain of Nightfall, a fictional Game Changers team — has spent four years climbing. We met her a week before Champions.

Dasebot: What changed for the team this year?

Vexa: We stopped trying to be the most aggressive team in the room. We decided to be the calmest one.

Dasebot: How do you deal with pressure on stage?

Vexa: Routine. Same warm-up, same playlist, same jokes. The stage is just a bigger practice room if you let it be.

“We play to be remembered, not to be liked.”

Dasebot: What do you want people to say about this roster in ten years?

Vexa: That we made it normal. That a team like ours on the main stage stopped being news.
